A. Information You Provide

  • Financial Data: When you connect your bank or card through Plaid, we receive read-only transaction and account data. We never store your login credentials.
  • Uploaded Data: Receipts, invoices, or other financial documents you upload.
  • Profile Details: Tax year start date, preferred CPA, and subscription info.
  • Communication Data: Support requests, feedback, or messages with CPAs.

B. Information We Collect Automatically

  • Device and usage data (IP address, OS version, app version, session logs).
  • Analytics (page interactions, feature usage) for app improvement.
  • Cookies and similar technologies (on web).

C. Information from Third Parties

  • Plaid (bank integrations)
  • Google / Apple (login authentication)
  • Partner CPAs (with your consent)

All sharing is conducted under strict confidentiality and security agreements.

5. Data Security

We use industry-standard encryption (TLS 1.2+), secure servers, and multi-factor authentication for CPAs. Sensitive financial data (like bank credentials) is never stored on our servers — only securely transmitted via Plaid.

Your data is retained as long as your account remains active. You may request deletion of your data anytime by contacting info@taxshave.com.
